Why it matters
Anghami offered legal music streaming in a region where piracy was the norm and made subscriptions affordable by letting users pay through their phone bill, building around 40 direct telecom partnerships. In February 2022 it became the first Arab technology company to list on Nasdaq. Since merging with OSN+ in 2024 it combines music and video, reporting $99.3 million revenue and more than 3.5 million paying subscribers for 2025.
