In their own words
“AI is becoming a new cognitive layer for humanity: infrastructure that reshapes how we think, learn, build, and make decisions.”
The story
Mohammad Alsufi began coding at 14, building and selling websites to local businesses, and set up his first services company at 16. He went on to found NoNerds, an AI-native education platform that JoAcademy acquired for $140,000 in June 2026, when he was 19. He then joined JoAcademy as Head of AI, working on AI initiatives for a platform serving more than 2.1 million students. He is now co-founder of Cortad, which is building the intelligence infrastructure for the next generation of AI agents. Cortad connects everything behind an AI system, from its source code and evaluations to its real-world interactions, decisions and business outcomes, so organisations can continuously verify their agents, trace failures to their underlying causes and measure improvements from development through production. More than 50 companies use it, across AI infrastructure, developer tools, enterprise analytics, healthcare and legal technology, among them HelixDB and DataBuddy, both backed by Y Combinator, and Nuralix, a New York healthtech company working at the intersection of AI, genetics and personalised medicine.
