Why it matters
Getir launched in Istanbul in 2015 promising grocery delivery in about 10 minutes from its own warehouses and couriers. Its March 2022 Series E valued it at $11.8 billion, and at that point it operated in nine countries. After retreating to Turkey in 2024, its delivery business was sold to Uber in 2026.
