In their own words
“We’re thrilled to welcome Beltone Venture Capital as our partner in this next phase of growth across Africa.”
The story
Maha Bennani took a scientific baccalauréat at the Lycée Français International Louis-Massignon, studied applied mathematics at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and earned a Bachelor of Commerce in finance at Concordia University. She worked at National Bank of Canada and CIBC Asset Management, and as a business development manager for OVH's Digital Launch Pad. In Montreal she co-founded Match Glasses, which she also led as CEO. In 2020 she co-founded LNKO, a Moroccan direct-to-consumer eyewear company that sells both in stores and online, and became its CEO. LNKO says it makes eyewear affordable and on trend by digitising the optical value chain. CDG Invest put $335,000 into the company in 2021. In February 2025, when Beltone Venture Capital invested to back LNKO's growth across Africa, Wamda reported that it had served more than 100,000 customers, ran 10 points of sale in Morocco and had an online presence in 24 countries.
