Why it matters
Al Abdallah grew from a single charcoal grill in Zibdine, near Nabatieh, into a chain with branches across Lebanon and in the UAE, Iraq and Qatar. It answered imitators by building its own central kitchen, warehouse, slaughterhouse and chicken farm, so it controls quality from hatching to the final product. It also sells franchises and says it aims to be the most widespread Lebanese restaurant chain in the world by 2035.
